BEYOND THE WORKOUT
Strong Is More Than Physical.
At ASH & TIDE, health is about a lot more than workouts, weights, or how you look.
Life can be amazing. It can also be really hard.
Mental health is something that means a lot to me. I’ve lost two of my siblings to suicide, and those losses changed me and the way I look at what it really means to be strong.
For me, movement helps. It doesn’t fix everything, and sometimes we need more than a workout. But getting outside, moving my body, being near the water, talking to someone, or just taking an hour for myself can make a difference.
Some days, strong just looks different.
Strong is lifting the heavier weight.
But it’s also taking a day off.
Going for a walk.
Calling a friend.
Saying “I need help.”
Or simply deciding to start again tomorrow.
That’s what the TIDE means to me. Sometimes we push forward. Sometimes we pull back. Both are okay.
Rest when you need it. Protect your peace. And when you’re ready, rise again.
If you or someone you love is struggling, reaching out matters. In the U.S., you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If there is immediate danger, call 911.

Week 2
This week's reminder: You can be healing and still have hard days.
5 Journal Prompts for Week 2
What am I holding onto that's making it harder to move forward?
What is one thing I've survived that I'm proud of myself for?
Am I giving myself the same kindness I give everyone else?
What does peace look like for me in this season of life?
What is one small thing I can do this week that is just for me?
Your Mental Health Challenge This Week
Do one thing every day that makes you feel like YOU.
Not as a parent. Not as an employee. Not as someone's partner. Just you.
It could be a walk by the ocean, coffee alone, a workout, calling a friend, reading, or saying no without feeling guilty.
You deserve a life that feels good to you, too.
You are allowed to laugh while grieving. You are allowed to find happiness after heartbreak. You are allowed to build something beautiful from a life you never expected to live.
You can miss what was and still be excited about what's next.
Thought for the Week
“The tide doesn't rush back to shore. It moves in its own time. So can you.”
